Language Opportunity: My name is Marcus Mohalland from Mohalland Lewis, LLC. I have co-authored a series of books, the Silly Nomads series, with Janet L. Lewis. Our first book, Silly Nomads From Palmerston Close, was published in Sept 2013, and the second, Silly Nomads Go Ninja Crazy, in July 2014. The third volume in the series, "Silly Nomads Make Great Superheroes," and the Spanish version of volume one, “Los Nomadas Loquitos,” are due to be published sometime this year. Silly Nomads books target ages 8-12 and recount many stories from my childhood experiences.
Our stories were written in a way to bring a taste of Jamaican culture to young readers through the hilarious characters of Suhcrom and Naddih. Not only are they fun to read, but they introduce children to a different culture and language through incorporating some of the native language, Patois. Many have commented that although the stories present Jamaican culture in particular, they are global in perspective and have a universal appeal to children all over the world.
Our goal is to promote literacy. One of our goals is to use our stories to encourage children to be creative and use their imaginations as they explore the world around them. More importantly, we want to promote literacy. By offering children and teachers in the Delaware Council For The Teaching of Foreign Languages books that are entertaining, and encourages them to read. This is important for their education and reaching their potential. Another goal is to get our books on the preferred reading lists and have them used in classrooms for book reviews or book clubs. Our goal is to get our books into schools across the U.S and in countries all over the world.
We would be more than honored if you would endorse our books and play a part in helping us to promote literacy and education in Delaware, by offering opportunities for our books to be adopted to Delaware's elementary and middle school curriculums.
We invite you to visit our website at: www.mohallandlewisllc.com. If you have any questions, please contact me by phone at: 607-624-6578; by email at:email@example.com.
I hope to hear from you regarding this opportunity to share books with your students.
Sincerely, Marcus Mohalland and Janet L. Lewis Mohalland Lewis, LLC

Comment Greetings. My name is Beth Gaunce, and I am the Director of Teacher Personnel and Instructional Policy for Middlebury Interactive Languages (MIL). MIL is a company that provides online world language content and instruction to students K-12 across the nation. This fall we will provide world language courses and teachers to approximately 15,000 virtual students.
In addition, we have one blended program that we run in Delaware, where we have been privileged to be part of the governor's program targeting immersion world language efforts in DE schools. We have students working online there, plus teachers who not only grade and message students via the Internet, but also visit their classrooms face to face in their local schools 2 times each week. Per the course pedagogy that was designed via a partnership with Middlebury College, the emphasis is on development of communicative proficiency, and students take the AAPPL tests at the end of the 8th grade.
We have a position for a part or full time teacher in this DE program for this fall in New Castle, DE. Additional online (only) work could be added to the role if a candidate needed a full time position instead of part time. I am reaching out to you to find out what networking/job palcement resources might be available in your state. We would like to fill this position quickly, with an excellent teacher who understands proficiency building and immersion pedagogy.
