2024 - 2025 Scholarship Applications are Open!
NEW Scholarship and Grant Application process!
On behalf of DECTFL, the Grant & Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce that this year we have made some changes to better meet the needs of our members and their students.
We will accept applications for our grant and scholarship funding opportunities to teachers, students, and teacher candidates on a rolling basis from November 15, 2024 through April 15, 2025. All applications received by the 15th of each month will be reviewed for approval by the end month, until all available funds have been disbursed. The applicant will propose the funding amount, which may range from $50 to $500. To be eligible, all applicants (or their teachers, in the case of students) must be a current member of DECTFL. A classroom library, online resources, professional development, special projects, field trips, and study abroad have all been supported in the past, but the funds can be used for anything that enhances learning about languages and cultures inside or outside of the classroom.
Please note that all submissions must be made through the official Grant & Scholarship Google Forms found on the application documents; emailed or paper applications will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Please contact Kate Dougherty ([email protected]), Grant & Scholarship Committee Chair if you have any questions.
Looking forward to receiving your submissions!
